McKenzie Grant-Gordon is a Jamaican-American artist based in Brooklyn. Rooted in nostalgia and infused with fantasies of the future her work speaks to notions of heritage, community, and transformation. Harlem has had a profound impact on McKenzie’s art practice and the new life she is building in New York. These works, from her first series since her move entitled In HARLEM, are an ode to this black cultural epicenter's beauty and soulful vibrancy.
