Our Mission:
Accelerating diversity in photography through mentorship.
What We Do
Our mission as a nonprofit organization is dedicated to supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) professionals following their dream of a thriving career in photography. This is why we spoke to many photographers in the industry and we found that there was one chief concern: a lack of diversity in the industry, making it hard for BIPOC photographers to gain opportunities.
Something had to change
We decided that we wanted to be part of that change by providing photographers new in the industry or those who need help leveling up their careers with the information and support they need to strive on their path. We do this in a myriad of ways through our university helping you get your degree, helping you build your personal brand, and events such as portrait popups and juice champs interviews with photographers in the industry to help new photographers learn how they succeed. We help you with networking and offer a phenomenal 8-week mentorship program that goes through every important aspect of how to thrive in your career from self-editing to finding a niche to pricing and much more. How do we do that? We partner with seasoned mentors in the roles of Photographer, Retoucher, Photo Rep, Photo Editor, Art Director, Creative Director, or Photo Director with students or aspiring professionals to leave equipped with the professional practices, skills, and language to pursue these roles through the industry-standard curriculum.
